My First Google Hangout with GreatDad.com

Recently I participated in my first Google Hangout for GreatDad.com that focused on the early days of fatherhood, specifically the trials and tribulations of holding on to those early memories and dealing with your emotions when your child picks Mommy over you (I know, Mom must be bribing that child with candy).

Thanks to Paul Banas of GreatDad.com for hosting, and to the other amazing author dads I met on the panel, namely Pete Densmore (DADspirations: The First 100 Days of Fatherhood) and Armin Brott (The Military Father: A Hands-on Guide for Deployed Dads). They certainly helped guide me through my early nervousness and kept me from saying something crazy like, "I miss Cop Rock."

Here's the Hangout. Enjoy.

yeah, you're a natural. I see a future for you in Matt Lauer's chair.

LOL ... Thanks Paul. Matt Lauer and I have a lot in common: We've both adopted buzz-style haircuts and we're both Ohio University alums. Go Bobcats!

I can't watch the video at the moment, but HAD to tell you, Brian...I was at Barnes for a few hours tonight and a friend of mine, who I had mentioned your book to (she's expecting a grandchild) asked me about it tonight. I don't know why, but could've sworn the release date was in April, but she insisted we look anyway. Lo and behold, THERE IT WAS! FOUR COPIES sitting right there on MY Barnes' shelf :D I had a 20% off coupon burning a hole in my pocket and was SO glad I had a reason to use it :) I can't wait to read it!!!
